If your cat isn’t a fan of chicken but you still want to provide them with hydration and extra nutrients, a beef soup will suffice. This is an excellent alternative for cats who are allergic to chicken or prefer beef to chicken. If your cat refuses to eat soup in any way, you can always mix a little broth into their dry food to get them used to it.

Ingredients:

  1. Beef bones
  2. 4 tsp apple cider vinegar
  3. Carrot
  4. Green peas
  5. 800ml water

Method:

  • Finely chop the carrots and green peas and place them in a pot with water, along with the beef bones, and add vinegar to the water.
  • Allow the soup to simmer on low heat until all of the meat residues has fallen off the bones, then strain out the meat and vegetables.
  • Let the beef bones simmer for another 20 hours before straining the mixture to obtain a clear broth.
  • Freeze the mixture or serve it right away after it has cooled.
