Woman Documents The Adorable Experience Of Sheltering A Pregnant Cat

Kevin was definitely not what they had thought. 

We all know sometimes you get a cat even though you didn’t want one in the first place. it is quite true when they say you don’t choose a cat rather they choose you. And this is definitely the case when it comes to Kevin. You see one day Kevin just showed up at the door of Erin Breean who lives in Austin Texas.

At first, the family thought he was there for some food and shelter since he showed up at odd times. However, that was not the case at all. You see Kevin had been hiding a secret from them.

At first, they thought it would be simple but when is life simple?

He comes looking for love.

They finally took him to a vet.

And this is when they found out Kevin is actually a girl.

And did I mention she is also pregnant?

Kevin is one sly kitty.

Catching her was a 4-day ordeal of offering her treats and then food. During this process, my boyfriend Landon named him (her) Kevin.

We would sit out on the patio with her for an hour or two every evening, she would roll around on her back for belly rubs but was really skittish and didn’t want us petting her. She would chase after us if we would get up and walk away, though.

She really doesn’t care about any of the damage.

She even made friends with their dog Murphy.

She took a few laps around my office and laid down in the hallway like, ‘This is my house now’. I closed my office door, put her in our bathroom, and found a vet that would see us the next day to see if she was chipped. She wasn’t, and that’s when we found out that she was a girl and pregnant.

From the first time we spotted her in the green belt to today on our couch, she talks nonstop. She has full conversations with her kittens, which is cute to hear from the other room.

And after a few days, it was finally birthing time.

And now we get to see the four adorable babies.

Even the kittens made friends with the doggo.

We were really hesitant to introduce Kevin and Murphy at first, but Kevin took the initiative and went right up to him, and they’ve been best friends since.

He is obsessed with her kittens, and the kittens love to climb all over him, pounce on his tail, and sneak up and stalk him.

They weren’t experienced with taking care of a litter.

But they researched and tried their best.

She had her kittens 4 days after we got back from the vet, and we spent all our time reading articles for what to expect when your cat’s expecting and asking for advice from friends who had fostered kittens.

They will soon find their forever homes.

This means that when they’re all old enough to go to their forever homes, they will be chipped, fixed, and vaccinated!

Thankfully the couple is going to keep Kevin with them.

They have all been adopted. They are going in pairs which we are very happy about, two to a friend here in Austin and two to our old roommate back in San Francisco. They’ll be ready to go home in a week and we’ve decided Kevin belongs here with us for good!

The best health item there is.

Just look at these babies already sticking their tongue out at us!

Murphy is just checking upon them.

So young and already opening their eyes and playing around.

Kevin has three sons and one adorable little daughter.

I think murphy has fallen in love with the babies.

Watching over them like a hawk.

They are already on their feet!

They just wanna cuddle.

They will soon be at their forever homes and this whole fiasco will be behind the couple.
